Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 They used to say before: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
