T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
