NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 about the sinners. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir). Sent down in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
