Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
