The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
