The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
