Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
