[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 And make my mission easy. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Harun, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
