Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
