T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
