۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
