And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
