The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
