And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
