We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
