The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 has created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
