The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 Reclining face to face. 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 And water poured out 31 And abundant fruit, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And exalted thrones. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
