The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 then he mustered 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
