The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
