So, I call to witness what you see 38 And what you do not see, 39 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger. 40 and is not - however little you may [be prepared to] believe it - the word of a poet; 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We would certainly have seized him by the right hand, 45 Then would have cut off his heart’s artery. 46 None of you would be able to prevent Us from doing this to him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. 50 And lo! it is absolute truth. 51 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 52
