The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
