Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In a high Garden. 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 and couches raised high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
