Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? 30 We placed firm mountains on earth lest it would shake them away. We made wide roads for them so that they might have the right guidance. 31 We established the heaven as a well protected roof, yet they still turn away from its signs. 32 And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. 33 And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad SAW), then if you die, would they live forever? 34 Every soul is going to taste of death, and We shall prove you with evil and good as a temptation; and unto Us ye shall be returned. 35 But [thus it is:] whenever they who are bent on denying the truth consider thee, they make thee but a target of their mockery, [saying to one another,] "Is this the one who speaks [so contemptuously] of your gods?" and yet, it is they themselves who, at [every] mention of the Most Gracious, are wont to deny the truth! 36 The human was created of haste. Indeed, I will show you My signs; so do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 They say, "When shall the Day of Judgment come to pass if you are true in your claim?" 38 If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped! 39 That will suddenly come upon them and stupefy them. They shall not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be granted any respite. 40 Other messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overwhelmed by the very thing they had mocked. 41
