▼ 37 The Arrangers
Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
