And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
