The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
