The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 while they sat around it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
