The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the entire universe. 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful; 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Guide us on the Straight Path. 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
