Al-nahl 3 of 16

Your Allah is one Allah; so (as for) those who do not believe in the hereafter, their hearts are ignorant and they are proud. 22 Undoubtedly Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: verily He loveth not the arrogant. 23 and [who,] whenever they are asked, "What is it that your Sustainer has bestowed from on high?" - are wont to answer, "Fables of ancient times!" 24 That they may bear their burdens entirely on the day of resurrection and also of the burdens of those whom they lead astray without knowledge; now surely evil is what they bear. 25

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
