Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
