The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 while they sat around it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
