And indeed, even before [the return of Moses] had Aaron said unto them: "O my people! You are but being tempted to evil by this [idol] - for, behold, your [only] Sustainer is the Most Gracious! Follow me, then, and obey my bidding!" 90 They said "So long as Moses does not come back we are not going to give it up, and we will remain devoted to it." 91 (Moses) said: "O Aaron! what kept thee back, when thou sawest them going wrong, 92 so that thou didst not follow after me? Didst thou then disobey my commandment?' 93 Aaron said, "Son of my mother! Do not seize me by my beard nor by my head. I was afraid that you would say, 'You have caused dissension among the Children of Israel and did not pay heed to my words.'" 94 Said Moosa, “And what is your explanation, O Samri?” 95 He replied: 'I saw what they did not see and seized a handful of dust from the foot print of the messenger and so I cast it; this my soul prompted me to do' 96 [Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.' And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast. 97 Your only deity is God, there is no deity but Him. His knowledge encompasses all things." 98 Thus We tell you, (Muhammad), the stories of the past and We have given you the Quran. 99 Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden, 100 As abiders therein. And vile will it be for them on the Day of Judgment as a load! 101 on the Day when the trumpet is blown: for on that Day We will assemble all such as had been lost in sin, their eyes dimmed [by terror,] 102 They shall consult together secretly: You did tarry but ten (centuries). 103 We are Best Aware of what they utter when their best in conduct say: Ye have tarried but a day. 104
