T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
