Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 A guidance and mercy for the righteous 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in his stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not: as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce thou unto him a torment afflictive. 7 Verily, those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them are Gardens of delight (Paradise). 8 to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error. 11
