And a sign for them is the dead earth; We gave it life and We produced from it grain, so they eat from it. 33 We have placed in it gardens of date palms and vines, and caused springs to gush [forth] from it, 34 That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 how the sun moves in its orbit and this is the decree of the Majestic and All-knowing God; 38 And the moon -- We have determined it by stations, till it returns like an aged palm-bough. 39 The sun shall not outstrip the moon, nor shall the night outstrip the day. Each is floating in an orbit. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride. 42 And if We will, We can drown them, so there would be no help in their distress, nor would they be saved. 43 Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while. 44 When they are told, "Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy," (they turn back). 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50
