The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 shall be the food of the sinful. 44 Like the dregs of all! It shall seethe in the bellies: 45 like boiling water. 46 Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell; 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water, 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 Surely this is what you disputed about. 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, 56 As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement! 57 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue, that haply they may remember. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
