Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 As for those who attained to faith and did righteous works and believed in what was revealed to Muhammad -- which indeed is the Truth from their Lord -- Allah has remitted their evil deeds and has set their condition right. 2 This, because they who are bent on denying the truth pursue falsehood, whereas they who have attained to faith pursue [but] the truth [that flows] from their Sustainer. In this way does God set forth unto man the parables of their true state. 3 Therefore, when you meet the unbelievers smite their necks, then, when you have killed many of them, tie the bonds. Then, either free them by grace or ransom until war shall lay down its loads, in this way, it shall be. Had Allah willed, He would have been victorious over them; except that He might test you, the one by the means of others. As for those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will not let their works to go astray. 4 He will guide them and set right their state. 5 And He shall make them enter the Garden; He shall have made it known unto them. 6 Believers, if you aid Allah, He will come to your aid and will plant your feet firmly. 7 But as for the unbelievers, ill chance shall befall them! He will send their works astray. 8 they have hated God's revelation, and thus, He has made their deeds devoid of all virtue. 9 ۞ Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [willful sinners] who lived before their time? God destroyed them utterly: and the like thereof awaits all who deny the truth. 10 That is because Allah is the patron of those who believe, and because the infidels! no patron is theirs. 11
