Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” 30 ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. 35 but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. 36 And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. 37 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. 40 And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: 41 that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
