The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
