Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
