The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
