۞ He it is Who created you from a single being, and of the same (kind) did He make his mate, that he might incline to her; so when he covers her she bears a light burden, then moves about with it; but when it grows heavy, they both call upon Allah, their Lord: If Thou givest us a good one, we shall certainly be of the grateful ones. 189 But when He gave them a Salih (good in every aspect) child, they ascribed partners to Him (Allah) in that which He has given to them. High be Allah, Exalted above all that they ascribe as partners to Him. (Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 9, Page 148). 190 Do they (the pagans) consider things that do not create anything but are themselves created equal to God? 191 No help can they give them, nor can they help themselves. 192 And if ye call them toward guidance they follow you not: it is the same to you whether ye call them or are silent. 193 Those whom you invoke other than Allah are creatures like you. So invoke them. and see if they answer your call, if what you claim is true. 194 Have they feet on which they can walk? Have they hands with which they can grasp? Have they eyes with which they can see? Have they ears with which they can hear? Say [O Muhammad]: 'Invoke all those to whom you ascribe a share in Allah's divinity, then scheme against me and grant me no respite. 195 My Guardian is Allah, who has sent down the Book. He guards the righteous. 196 Those whom you call on besides Him have no power to help you, nor can they help themselves." 197 And if you were to call them to true guidance, they will not hear; and you observe them looking at you whereas they have no power to see.' 198 Accept the easing, order with fine jurisprudence, and avoid the ignorant. 199 And if a slander from the devil wound thee, then seek refuge in Allah. Lo! He is Hearer, Knower. 200 Verily those who fear God think of Him when assailed by the instigations of Satan, and lo! they begin to understand, 201 And their brethren increase them in error, then they cease not. 202 When you do not bring them a verse, they say, 'Why have you not chosen one' Say: 'I follow only what is revealed to me from my Lord. This (Koran) is a veritable proof from your Lord, guidance and mercy for people who believe' 203 When the Koran is recited, listen to it in silence in order that Allah has mercy upon you. 204 And remember [O Prophet] your Lord in your mind, with humility and fear, and without raising your voice; remember Him in the morning and evening, and do not become of those who are negligent. 205 [The angels] who are near to Your Lord, never turn away from His service out of arrogance; they rather glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him. ۩ 206
