Can one who was given a better promise, which he will find come true, be like him who was given a little enjoyment of this life, but who will afterwards be brought (to judgement) on the Day of Resurrection? 61 On that Day He will call to them, saying: 'Where are those whom you alleged to be My associates' 62 Those upon whom the sentence will be pronounced will say: our Lord these are they whom we seduced, we seduced them even as we ourselves were seduced. We declare ourselves quit of them before Thee; not ourselves they were wont to worship. 63 Then they will be told, "Call upon your partners." And they will call upon them, but will receive no answer. They shall witness the punishment. If only they had allowed themselves to be guided. 64 That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say: "What was the answer ye gave to the messengers?" 65 They will be left speechless on that Day, and they will not be able to consult each other. 66 But any that (in this life) had repented, believed, and worked righteousness, will have hopes to be among those who achieve salvation. 67 Your Lord creates what He wills and chooses. The good is not for them to choose. Too holy and high is God for what they associate with Him. 68 And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 69 And He is Allah; there is no deity except Him. To Him is [due all] praise in the first [life] and the Hereafter. And His is the [final] decision, and to Him you will be returned. 70 Ask them, "Tell me, if God were to extend perpetual night over you till the Day of Judgement, is there any deity other than God that could bring you light? Will you not listen?" 71 Say thou: bethink ye, if Allah made day continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, what god is there beside Allah, who would bring you night wherein ye have repose? Behold ye not? 72 It is out of His Mercy that He has made for you night and day that you may repose (during the night) and seek His Bounty (during the day) that you might be grateful. 73 Upon the day when He shall call. to them, and He shall say, 'Where now are My associates whom you were asserting?' 74 And We shall draw out from every nation a witness, and say, 'Produce your proof!' Then will they know that Truth is God's, and there shall go astray from them that they were forging. 75
