Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 He plunged the villages 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
