Indeed for the pious, with their Lord, are Gardens of Serenity. 34 Shall We equate the Muslims to the guilty? 35 What aileth you? How foolishly ye judge! 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 That you have surely therein what you choose? 38 Or do you have oaths [binding] upon Us, extending until the Day of Resurrection, that indeed for you is whatever you judge? 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or have they other partners [besides God]? Let them bring forth their other partners, if what they say be true. 41 On the day when the Shin* will be exposed and they will be called to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. (Used as a metaphor) 42 Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 Yet I will give them respite: Surely My plan is compact. 45 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they are burdened with debt? 46 Or do they have knowledge of the unknown which they copy down? 47 So be patient with the judgement of your Lord and do not be like the Companion of the Whale (Jonah), when he called out choking inwardly. 48 and who cried (for help) to his Lord, while imprisoned and helpless inside the fish. Had it not been for a favor from his Lord, he would have been left out in the open, deserving blame for his shortcomings. 49 But his Lord chose him and placed him among the righteous. 50 Hence, [be patient,] even though they who are bent on denying the truth would all but kill thee with their eyes whenever they hear this reminder, and [though] they say: "[As for Muhammad,] behold, most surely he is a madman!" 51 Whereas it is not but an advice to the entire creation! 52
