Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
