The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
