The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And by those who float in space, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
