The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
