The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in towering columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
